I have a serious addiction!!

Everyone has an addiction to something or someone. I am a closet coupon queen. I love a deal. Not just any deal, but one that will make you have that rush of energy. It's sad- I know. I think it all began when Jessica was born. I had suffered for one year working at a very unsatisfying job. My boss did not like women that had children. For goodness sake if Jessica was ever sick I might as well of said the sky was falling. My boss and workplace were not family friendly-funny now since I work for the most understanding, family friendly man in town and for a company that has built itself on family values. Anyway-after Jessica was born I longed to be a stay a home mom. For her first birthday I gave myself a gift. My two weeks notice at work. I did not discuss it with Greg until it was done. He told me I had 3 months at home. If we went under then I had to go back to work. I swore to myself that I would make it work and he would not even miss my income. I don't know what line I was feeding myself. We did miss my checks, but I decided I would try to be a frugal as I could. I was known for making a dime out of a nickle. We survived and I enjoyed finding deals. My experience with my frugality did well for us after Greg began to have seizures. Though it got pretty sticky a few times we managed to always have clothes, always eat and have a home. I enjoy a bargain. I get a kick out of saving money on groceries and at drugstores. When you have four crazy kids, a part-time job and husband that suffers from Epilepsy, you must have something that you enjoy. For me its the thrill of seeing how much is taken off the bottom line of a receipt. When it says you paid _ and you saved _...it sure does make me giggle. Not only do I enjoy saving money but, I enjoy reading about others success stories. This is why you will find so many sites that I read each day. There are so many guru's out there in blogosphere. If you find a good one-email me and I will add it. My new addiction is reading and saving good frugal blogs. One day I will share a picture of my bathroom cabinet-my kids laugh and tell me that I need to attend a meeting on addictions.
